This will help neutralise the acidity that dark malts contribute and ensure a suitable mash pH.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1000\" data-end=\"1021\"><strong data-start=\"1004\" data-end=\"1021\">Caution:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"1023\" data-end=\"1289\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1023\" data-end=\"1119\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1025\" data-end=\"1119\">Don't add too much - over 5 grams per 25 litres can give a salty or soda-like taste.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1120\" data-end=\"1183\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1122\" data-end=\"1183\">Use pH measurement as a guide.
