It provides a distinct, rounded smoke character with malt fullness and fine notes of honey and vanilla.<\/p>\n<h3>Flavour and use<\/h3>\n<p>The malt is suitable for both light and dark smoked beers. It can be used in Rauchbier, Kellerbier, M\u00e4rzen, bock, smoked porter, dark wheat beer, Lichtenhainer, Old Ale, and other speciality beers, among others.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Colour: 4\u20138 EBC<\/li>\n<li>Raw material: German and European quality barley<\/li>\n<li>Smoking: smoked over beechwood<\/li>\n<li>Character: pronounced, rounded smoke, malt sweetness, honey and vanilla<\/li>\n<li>Enzyme activity: high<\/li>\n<li>Extract on a dry matter basis: at least 77 %<\/li>\n<li>Protein in dry matter: 9\u201313 %<\/li>\n<li>Contents: 25 kg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Dosage<\/h3>\n<p>At 5\u201310 % of the malt blend, the aromatic complexity is enhanced with notes of honey and vanilla. A higher dosage results in a more pronounced smoky character, and according to Weyermann, the malt can be used at up to 100 %, depending on the desired intensity.<\/p>\n<h3>Whole sack for larger brew<\/h3>\n<p>This item is delivered as a whole 25 kg bag.
