Brown Malt from Thomas Fawcett – 25 kg

Brown Malt from Thomas Fawcett is a roasted barley malt with a distinct biscuit and toast character. It imparts a darker amber-brown colour and greater depth of flavour than Amber Malt. The colour is 175–200 EBC according to the EBC analytical method.

The malt is a traditional choice for historical porters and brown beers. It can also be used in other dark and malt-forward beers when more toasted depth is desired without the very dark character of Black Malt.

Adjust the proportion according to the beer style and recipe. Brown malt is a speciality malt with a distinct flavour and should normally be combined with a base malt.
