Convert your S-coupling or similar to Cornelius

In many cases, a draught beer system is fitted with couplings for Cornelius (Ball-Lock) and you are left with kegs with an S-coupling or other type with 2 x 1/2″ connections.

Instead of changing the couplings, the easy solution is to convert the desired coupling to Cornelius. It only requires a conversion kit:

Conversion to Cornelius couplings

The set consists of:

 2 pcs Transition 1/2″ - 19/32″, female - male

1 piece Valve, beer, complete with o-ring and spring insert, 19/32

1 piece Valve, CO2, complete with o-ring and spring insert, 19/32

Assembly:

The hole in the transition is hexagonal, so you can use an umbracho spanner to hold it when screwing on the Ball-Lock valve. Remember the bypass before...

The CO2 valve (the one with the 'notches' in the hexagon) is mounted on the angled stud on the coupling. If you want to use the non-return valve, remove the transparent gasket from the transition.

The beer valve is mounted on top.

You ONLY need to finger tighten the union nuts.

The principle can be used on all couplings with 1/2″ male thread, such as S-coupling, Key-Keg, A-couplings, D-couplings etc. Please note that there are some of these types with 5/8″ thread and the system cannot be used here.
