Thomas Fawcett's Caramalt is a pale, golden caramel malt with a mild honeyed sweetness and a light caramel flavour. It imparts a subtle sweetness and a golden hue without the heavy character of darker caramel malts. The colour is 25–40 EBC according to the EBC analytical method.

The malt is especially suitable for pale ales and lagers, where it can support the malt character and provide a mild caramel sweetness.

Dosage

Thomas Fawcett typically recommends 5–10 % of the malt blend. Adjust the quantity according to the type of beer and the desired sweetness and colour.
