CARAFA Type 2 from Weyermann is a dark roasted malt with an EBC of 1000-1100. This malt is perfect for adding colour and flavour to dark beers such as porter, stout and dunkel. It provides a deep, roasted flavour with notes of coffee and chocolate, and can also contribute to a fuller body and creamy mouthfeel in beer. CARAFA Type 2 can be used in small amounts to add colour and flavour, or in larger quantities to create a more intense roasted character. This malt is also suitable for adjusting the colour of lighter beers, such as brown ale or amber ale.
