CARAFA Type 3 from Weyermann is a dark roasted malt with an EBC of 1300-1500. This malt gives an intense dark colour and a deep roasted flavour to the beer. It is suitable for adding complexity and depth to dark beers such as porter, stout and schwarzbier. CARAFA Type 3 can also be used in smaller quantities to add a roasted flavour to other beer styles such as brown ale and Belgian dubbel. This malt is perfect for creating a rich and full-bodied flavour in beer.
