BEST Red X® from BESTMALZ – 25 kg

BEST Red X® has been developed for brewing clear beers with an intense, reddish colour. The malt has a wort colour of 28–32 EBC and a fine fruit and sherry-like aroma profile.

The malt is suitable for reddish beers as well as, amongst others, ale, Altbier, Dunkel, and wheat beer. The diastatic power is at least 200 WK.

Dosage and colour

BEST Red X® can make up to 100 % of the malt mix and has been developed for beers around 12 °Plato. In stronger beers, the higher extract strength will affect the colour. BESTMALZ therefore recommends supplementing with an appropriate proportion of BEST Pilsener Malt to keep the beer within the red colour range.
