Pearl Pale Ale Malt by Fawcett – 25 kg
Pearl Pale Ale Malt from Thomas Fawcett is produced from the traditional British winter barley variety Pearl. The variety has for many years been prized for its consistent quality, balanced flavour and subtle malt complexity.
Pearl is an older winter barley variety that remains fully approved for brewing by the Institute of Brewing & Distilling. It has largely been superseded by newer, higher-yielding varieties, but continues to be grown by selected farmers for brewers who value tradition and reliability.
How to use
Pearl Pale Ale Malt is a well-modified base malt with good extract and a sweet, flavourful wort. It is particularly well suited as the main malt in British ales such as bitter, mild and stout, and can be combined with crystal and roasted malts depending on the beer style.
