Flaked Rice – weighed to order

Flaked Rice are heat-treated and rolled rice flakes for beer brewing. They contribute fermentable carbohydrates and can provide a lighter, brighter and drier beer profile without adding a significant flavour of their own.

For light and easy-drinking beers

Rice flakes are especially suitable for lagers, pilsners, cream ales and other beer styles where you want a clean flavour profile, a pale colour and a less full-bodied malt character.

Use in the mash

The flakes are heat-treated and can normally be added directly to the mash. As rice does not contain sufficient enzymes for its own conversion, the product must be used together with enzyme-active base malt.
