Pilgrim hops are known for their slightly spicy and earthy flavour, with subtle notes of citrus and flowers. They add a pleasant bitterness and a light fruity aroma to the beer. With an alpha acid content of 10–12%, Pilgrim is well suited to adding flavour and aroma to a wide range of beer styles, including pale ales, IPAs, stouts and porters. It contributes to a well-balanced flavour profile and can give the beer a slightly spicy and fruity character, making it a favourite amongst homebrewers.
