WLP565-O Organic Belgian Saison I Ale Yeast
A classic seasonal strain sourced from the Wallonia region of Belgium. This strain provides a classic saison by producing flavours and aromas that are noted as earthy, peppery and spicy. With an efficiency averaging around 70 to 75 %, some malt flavour will remain present. For the best fermentation results, allow this strain to freely rise in temperature to allow complete efficiency and production of the subtle, traditional flavour characteristics. For high gravity saisons, it is suggested to infuse the beer with an alternative yeast (such as WLP001 California Ale Yeast®) added after 50 to 60% fermentation.
