Kontinentale humlesorter spænder fra klassiske sorter med krydrede, urteagtige og blomstrede nuancer til nyere sorter med mere frugtprægede aromaer. Sorten, alfasyreprocenten, mængden og tilsætningstidspunktet afgør humlens bidrag til det færdige øl.

Blade eller pellets

Pellets er kompakte og lette at dosere, mens bladhumle består af hele tørrede humlekopper. Ikke alle sorter findes i begge former, så vælg ud fra opskriften, brygudstyret og den ønskede filtrering.
