Whole coriander seeds for brewing beer

Whole coriander seeds provide a spicy, fresh and slightly citrusy aroma. They are used especially in Belgian-inspired beer styles such as witbier and blanche, but can also give character to saison, Christmas beer and other specialty beers.

Dosage and administration

Crush the seeds lightly immediately before use so that the aroma is released. Typically add them towards the end of the boil. The dosage depends on the recipe and the desired flavour intensity, so feel free to start cautiously – coriander should normally support the beer and not overpower the other ingredients.
