Amber Malt is a British specialty malt with a dry, biscuit-like and lightly roasted character. Thomas Fawcett describes the malt with distinct coffee notes and a brownish colour. The colour is 90–110 EBC.

The malt is classic in porter, mild and brown ale, where it contributes roasted malt depth and a distinctive biscuit character. Use the amount according to beer type and recipe, as the flavour is more prominent than in a standard base malt.
