Weyermann® Beech Smoked Barley Malt – 25 kg
Beech Smoked Barley Malt is a pale, well-modified barley malt from Weyermann, malted in Bamberg and gently smoked over beechwood. It provides a distinct, rounded smoke character with malt fullness and fine notes of honey and vanilla.
Flavour and use
The malt is suitable for both light and dark smoked beers. It can be used in Rauchbier, Kellerbier, Märzen, bock, smoked porter, dark wheat beer, Lichtenhainer, Old Ale, and other speciality beers, among others.

Dosage
At 5–10 % of the malt blend, the aromatic complexity is enhanced with notes of honey and vanilla. A higher dosage results in a more pronounced smoky character, and according to Weyermann, the malt can be used at up to 100 %, depending on the desired intensity.
