Rye Malt from Weyermann – weighed per kg
Weyermann Rye Malt is a light rye malt for brewing with a spicy, slightly bready grain character. It contributes more body and a smoother mouthfeel without imparting much colour to the beer. The colour ranges from 6–10 EBC.
For rye beer and beer with extra grain character
The rye malt is ideal for classic rye beer and can also be used in, among other things, saison, pale ale, IPA, porter, stout and multigrain beer. A smaller proportion gives a discreet spicy touch, while a larger proportion makes the flavour and body of the rye more pronounced.
Use in the mash
Rye has no husks and can make the mash more viscous than barley. With a high proportion of rye malt, rice husks can help build a more open filter bed and make lautering easier.
